The owners manual for this car, (6cyl inline) says that should the engine oil be accidently overfilled one should go to MB, where a technician will syphon or draw off the excess oil from above

My question to others out there with experience is, where on the engine can the syphon tube be inserted for oil to be drawn out, would that be a redundent dipstick tube connection
Or is the manual incorrect

The manual is correct. The dipstick opening is still there but will have a blanking plug fitted to it.

Thanks Russ, I have not actually overfilled the oil, just nice to know where things are:D

There is a post by Satch on another thread in this section with a picture of the straight six engine with the top cover removed. The dipstick tube with its cover is clearly visible.
