I've had my 2004 S211 E320 CDI with FSH and 157K miles for about a year now and intend to keep it for a lot longer. With this in mind, I would like to ask your advice on what preventative maintenance I should think about having done to it. I am quite capable of carrying out most tasks and for the bigger jobs, I have access to a friend fully fitted out workshop. If you do have suggestions can you please elaborate your answer with time scales, parts required etc? Thanks Steve

A gerabox oil and filter? I did a "how to" on here.

Thanks for that Black55; it's a shame I hadn't seen it before but as I was under the impression that to change the gearbox oil & filter required connecting to a Star, I had it done a little while ago at my local MB specialist. I found out then that it didn't need connecting to a Star but I had them connect it anyway as the parking sensors didn't work, it turns out I have 2 duff sensors, one at the front and one at the back.
Any more suggestions?

I have duff sensors too. Seems to be a common problem?
