E320 CDI W211 VALUE?

Hi all,

Our family MB (E320 CDI Elegance ESTATE) Is potentially up for sale.

Its a 2008 model registered 29/05/2008, so its the facelift model. Mileage is 201,000 but it drives very well, engine and gearbox superb.

Specifications as follows,

5 seat, Audio 20, Black Leather, MB overeats (ribbed type), etc,..

It has the 'usual' squeak from the front suspension, diagnosed by MB as the front control arm bushes but there is no play at all plus it is only noisy when wet? The glow plug light stays on for 2 minutes after cold start, again diagnosed by MB as No2 glow plug although the car starts perfectly (had a new glow plug control unit about 2 years ago). The only other issue i am aware of is (again according to MB) swirl flap issue. They say its probably the motor, could be a connection issue where the control unit gets oil on it? not apparent unless you hold a steady throttle at about 30mph, where you get an occasional shudder.

2 new front tyres just fitted. MOT till September 2020 (no advisories). Had new front pads (MB) and rear discs, pads and callipers (MB) last year plus 4 new ball joints.

So, what's it worth??

Have a look on autotrader/piston heads etc for similar cars/mileage etc to gauge.

Mileage will put a lot of people off unless it’s really cheap

One of my personal favourites but any “prestige” car with 200k miles on that needs about £500 spending on it needs to be priced cheap.

2 years ago P/X ed my immaculate 2008 E211 Avantgarde with 44 k on the clock , FMBSH , got 4.8 k , dealer sold it for about £7 k , so guess about £2-2.3 k sounds reasonable given the mileage. Should have sold mine on the forums,
