E320 estate 2004 boot closure speed

Hi, I've just added a 2004 E320 to my collection. The electric boot closure is great but it seems to open and close to quickly compared to other cars I've seen with this. Is it adjustable ?

Does it close with a bang? Might be a sign that the gas struts are failing.

Hi its a fairly solid close but I think its more due to the approach speed than a lack of damping.

Just checked struts by manually closing the boot and they will hold it in any position so its closure speed that is the issue - might be normal but it seems a bit too solid !
