E320 --misfire?

Hi folks,Could anybody advise me or give me some ideas as to why my E320 is misfirng when taken out for a run on the straight! It does`nt always happen but every now and then it drops revs and gives a little jerk .Otherwise it runs perfectly .Look forward to the replies.Sorry just realised that i put this in the wrong section ...

Possible the start of the dreaded engine wiring loom insulation problem- lots of posts on this on the forum so have a look- could be several other things tho like the MAFF or OVP ?

Assuming its the inline 6 engine, my wifes old w210 320 used to eat spark plugs, cheap and easy to change plus you can have a look at the loom as per grobers post.

What was the fix when your car was cutting out back in October - wonder if they are related faults?

previously was the ovp relay .Thanx for your reply .
