Mines a 95 M, and I'm not totally sure if its a 5 Speeder or a 4, as i havnt taken delivery yet, and while on a test drive we didnt get much opportunity to get it into top is 5 speed an option or a year introduced, anoy other way of telling ?

Also, as there are no dials between the temperature control circular buttons, can I assume there is no AC or does it automatically go cold ?

seems like a poverty spec but with leather and airbags.

Good hifi as standard ?

thanks people :)

5-speed was an option on six-cylinder petrol cars from 1991. If you have a 5-speed the gear lever will have 4<>D beside the Drive position and a left-right action to switch between D (5th) and 4 (4th)

If you have two heat selectors and no buttons between them you don't have aircon

The standard front speakers are pretty poor as they are so small

Is this a saloon, coupe, cabriolet or estate?

Hi Nick,

Its a W124 Coupe, Malachite and Mushroom with Leather /Walnut and Compartmental box thingy, but pretty low on the spec count, has rear speakers as well though.

Has a decent file of servicing at Mains all its life, and has been garaged all its life. Lack of AC and Cruise is a bit of a bummer as the cars an upgrade over my old 300 CE, which had blue velour, but lots of options.

Still, the E320 feels very youthful and tight compared with the old love taxi thats departing.

makes a good sound once the valves start earning a living :D

A/C is a popular retro fit on 124s

easy way to tell if its 4 or 5 speed

the switchable box switch on a 5 speed is top left and the 4 speed botton left (slightly to the left of the PRND32/PRND432
