E320cdi oil ??

I have a 2006 E320 cdi i am going to put Diesel Mobile 1 0-40 in it but i think the last time i looked in cosco they had a Mobile 1 and another Mobile 1 with a different name added, cannot remember what that was does anyone know if i just stick with the old one or new, thanks in advance.

Remember if the car has a DPF which your year should have, use the ESP variant which is low saps/ash oil suitable for the DPF.

The MB approved DPF suitable oils will end in 31 or 51 , as in 229.31 or 229.51, rather than 229.3 or 229.5, which are not suitable.

Thanks for the info gurps and tonysmb i checked the numbers i bought mobil 1 esp 5-30 cosco did not stock and ecp dont have it on computer but i bought it off ecp click reserve on ebay £38.39 says 40% off, so dont know how that works for them, thanks again.

I was in Costco yesterday and bought some Castol Edge Oil 5w40 for my car.

It is the only 229.51 oil that they sell. The Turbo diesel Mobil 1 is only 229.5 and not suitable for car with the DPF.

The Castrol Edge is on offer @£19.99 for 4 litres plus VAT. I had to buy 12 litres because my car needs 8.5 litres.

We've had threads on here about buying oil from Vauxhall dealers.
Apparently it's relabelled Mobil 1 at about half the price and specifies MB compatibility on the bottle.
I recall you can also get it on eBay, 5L for £20 or there about.
Might have been Olly from PCS that shared the tip.

I like a bit of mobil 1 but you have had a result with the Castrol edge well done, i have been. I was buying just to have on the shelf just incase it was needed so i will wait for a better price to get some more for the service, Thanks.
