Just a brief introduction. I have run an E-class for a number of years and presently have a 2004 E320CDI. It's a good car and has done 126k miles but some things are starting to wear which could potentially be expensive so I need to seek advice. I have Googled extensively but have not found answers. Main dealers may wish to replace expensive parts - some may be inevitable but there may be more expedient and lower cost options in some other cases.
Experience suggests that I am not likely to be alone in the issues I have and I guess that these may well be common knowledge in the MB owning community. Hence, I shall firstly search these forums to see if these issues have already been raised and advice offered. If no answers are found, I will ask some questions. In return, if I come across issues that I already have answers to, I'll gladly answer those posts so that we can share the knowledge amongst this community.
