So this bunch of cowboys did not even look at the brake shoes - they charged you £100 to drive the car around with the handbrake on and they thought that's good enough to pass an MOT. At least my post 2 was on the money

By the way if the discs and pads are otherwise OK, you only need to replace the handbrake shoes for a proper fix.

Hi , the foot parking brake on my car has never been any good until now.

The garage I use to service other cars I own sorted the problem out in about one hour.

I live in a hilly area and the foot brake works as it was designed too.
