E320D V6 W211
Hi
My E320D V6 estate 2009 W211 is very jerky under acceleration after start, the problem seems to go when it’s been running a while. It dropped into limp home so I got the codes read with a Snap on reader, any suggestions:-

Common cause of this is the turbo actuator. Two options, first take it off, open it and clean the crud off the gears and re-grease, or second a refurbed one for around £100 - I got mine from Turbo Vanes with a 2 year warranty. First option is free and may help - Tip - tie a piece of wire to the circlip on the actuator arm when you take it off so you don't drop it into the engine bay. When you take the actuator arm off check the turbo vanes are moving freely, if not then the turbo needs looking at/reconditioned replacement. Also check the exhaust back pressure sensor next to the turbo - take it off (look out for sealing washer) and clean out the very small hole which can block.
Search turbo actuator (OM642 engine) on here as there are many threads on the subject
Failing all of that find a good indy.
