E350 2012 sound

I've test drived a e350 2012 on Saturday and While I was sat at traffic lights, in drive with the auto hold activated, I could hear a noise that sounded like the landing gear coming down on a plane (but quieter and not for as long), I could also feel a vibration.

Sounded like it was coming from lower dash or under the seats.

I really liked the car but that sound put me off, any ideea what could it be?

What mileage was it , might be engine mounts or torque converter ?
I would look for another car .

I changed my engine mounts at 100k as a vibration crept in .
Has the car had a gearbox service in its history ?

Not sure about the gearbox but it's got fsh so I've asked.
It wouldn't bother me of I had to change the engine mounts and do a gearbox service if I knew that would sort it ...

Probably worth travelling to get the right car, I wouldn’t risk buying it personally.
