I think these figures are very good when you consider the average speeds showing, excellent 9th gear low reving V 6 engine, so smooth, so easy. :thumb:

You do much better than I do. My right foot is slightly heavier though. Do you use Shell V Nitro as well or is that on regular supermarket stuff?

wow good numbers

I think the 7G sits at round 2k rpm at 80Mph so it looks like its sipping less at 1500rpm.

Wow 1500rpm at 80mph,that's very good. My 7G sits at 2000rpm at 80mph on my V6 and get 39mpg

At home I usually use supermarket fuel, but in Spain/France use the more expensive, and its still cheaper than our supermarket fuel,Esso's Energy diesel in France their best, worked out at 92 pence a litre, in Spain its even less around 80/83 pence, it does I think make a difference in MPG ,and performance generally.

It's supposed to be 1350rpm at around 75mph with 9G-Tronic, which clearly makes a big difference

The biggest single contributor to fuel economy in normal driving is maintaining constant speed - which is relatively easy on French and Spanish motorways.

It is difficult to resist wasting some fuel while exiting the peage booths though.

I cannot think of anywhere in the UK where you can regularly put your
0-100mph times to the test.

Yes, 85mph in 9th shows 1500 rpm, it will pootle along at 60mph in 9th at 1000 rpm, I've seen around 55/56 in top at about 900revs, on the flat with a tail wind ;) its just so torquey, love it. At Calais that day after 550 miles it showed 45.6 mpg AV, speed 57 mph, picture shows drink stop in Spain on 1st day off Teruel/Zaragoza m/way.

On a recent trip down to the South of Germany I got 49mpg but that's an estate with the 7G+ box so not as efficent as yours.
