Good Afternoon guys, I hope everyone is well

I'm sure some of you may have come across my previous post regarding the seized engine, I've now managed to find a like for like replacement at a pretty good price (finally lol)

and thinking of doing the engine mounts and gearbox mount at the same time? as I'm not sure when they were last done

only issue is, from what I'm seeing, they've got quite a few part numbers,

I was told that the above item, (lemförder set) should be compatible with my car, based upon the VIN, but then on the other hand, seems like that part number doesn't apply to my car?

any advice would be appreciated, thanks guys.

EDIT : apologies for the title, somehow missed out the mention of engine mounts...

has no one changed their engine mounts on an e350 cdi? Interesting...

Never done one myself.....as far as I can tell the ones on my 2010 212 model (same engine) are original at 97,000 miles. No bills saying otherwise. They still seem solid enough with no untoward noises or vibration.

thanks for the response mate, I believe mine are the original ones too, but engine was on 138k or so when it failed, so was thinking if it's worth replacing them or not, while replacing the engine

never really noticed any abnormal vibration or weird noises

I think I would if i was replacing the engine too.....you don't want to have to replace them in a few months time when they inevitably fail!!!

exactly that, I've just been confused because I'm being told by an ebay seller based in Germany that I need either lemförder 3557301 or 3557401, but both of those variants seem to be incorrect and suitable for the 4 cylinder engines, the one for my car seems to be 3570701

Is anyone able to advise on this?

thanks...

Have you looked it up on one of the online parts catalogues?

Keep in mind that your car is a C207, not a W212, and so relying on 'E-Class' may yield incorrect results. That's why going by the VIN is paramount. Can you post the first part of your VIN (up to the letter)?

If it was mine and there was any doubt at all, I would simply order via one of the MB dealers that offer online parts, ie Edinburgh, Newcastle etc., and then, with the VIN, you know you will receive the correct parts. As an example, the 350 coupés of around that age used two different numbered brake calipers, with differing pads.

Is your 2009 a 350cdi or 320cdi ? The title and your car details by your username are different .

AUTODOC shows the Lemforder mount for my 2009 E320cdi as 31220 01 ,for both left and right at £49 each

Yes I have spoken to MB of Newcastle through ebay and they have suggested (A 204 240 60 17) which seems to be LEMFÖRDER 3570701, had a look on autodoc aswell, suggests it's compatible, but out of stock...
