    Hello all,
New (to me) 2012 e350cdi coupe. I've done some research regarding my dead to the world multicontour seats and learned that the coupe models actaully have a pump each hidden away in the seat backrests. Now before I run the risk of breaking off numerous plastic tabs when trying to remove the rear shells to the seats I'm thinking that for both pumps to fail sounds unlikely, though of course not impossible. They are comletely dead no hissing, no clicks or pump noises.
I checked the fuse listed for the pumps 60 or 62 I think it was in the boot fusebox and was not blown. Only other clues I have is that the glovebox light is inoperative & there is no lighting showing on the seat air bellows switches so does anyone know if any other fuses are involved in the multicontour seats operation ??
    thanks if you can assist
    Martin

PS Oh yes, these are the standard type ( like my clk) not those with massage function or dynamic side bolsters ( I didn't know those existed!! )

Martin, did you ever get these working?

    I've a 2010 E350 C207 with exactly the same issue.

    Thanks
    Paul

I had this problem on 2011 E350 convertible.

The problem was a plastic connector under seat that had broken.

Fixed with a new metal connector.

    Thanks David

Some tinterweb searching would suggest that there are a whole host of reasons as to why the seats would stop functioning. I think i need to wait for the better weather and allocate myself a free weekend for some spannering of sorts.

    Cheers

thankyou Paul for jump-starting my thread. I was waiting till warmer weather to tackle removing the seat backs but David's answer has given me another line of enquiry re " broken connector". I had looked previously under the drivers seat and the wiring on my coupe model seemed pretty well bound up and no connecter (if I recall correctly) was noticed. Bit of sun forecast this weekend in Hampshire so I'll have another look. If you solve your c350 issue pls reply via the thread with what worked for you,
    Martin

From memory it only takes one connector to crack/break and both seats fail.
    Cannot remember which side.
I did a temporary fix with insulation tape.
Sourced the part from PFS for £4.99. They were brilliant in helping to find the part.
    The new part is metal.

    David

Again from memory a module with various connections was clipped under one of the seats.

Thanks for that David, that's at least a good place to start.

    Cheers
