What a slow piece of sh!t, the M3 that is, lol. It was ment to have 321bhp, made it look like it had 200bhp, I thought it was a fake M3 but I checked the number plate and it was a 99 M3 Evo coupe.. went past it like it was not moving..:D

He was was driving like an idiot!

I love the C55, 3rd M3 I came across and yet to see one come close!

AMG!!!!:rock::rock:

Would have blitzed him even more if it was not fot he extra weight you are carrying. Those 5.5 AMG badges weigh a ton. Send them to me and ill bin them for you.

How old are you - 13?

I have to get my fun buzzing LDVs

I am 14.

Wasn't a fair fight though was it really. The M3 is 6 years older and that Evo model was put together in 1995 and released 02/1996.

Saying that, I still love demolishing anything that tries it on regardless of age as it is immensely satisfying - I am 12 this year.

Strangely, I find a lot of Imprezas are very respectful once they've finished counting the exhaust pipes and number of '5's on the back.

:D

You can't beat a bit of **** swinging now and again to revive one's spirit.

I see an Audi S4 vert that used to have a go when I had the Saab and it would gently ease ahead. That guy pulls away so slowly now...

:bannana:

Yes, but still I would of thought it should of atleast kept up, with 321bhp apparently and think it's lighter but the gap kept getting bigger and bigger...

I've beaten a E46 M3 coupe and an E92 M3 Cab before but that was closer to be fair..

Unfortnately the E36 M3 at the moment is at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to values (cheapest out of all M3's at present) and thus most are worn tired examples run on shoestring budgets by skint council types who dont know the meaning of regular maintenance... alas, most are probably well short of the stock figure of 321bhp...

When in fine fettle the E36 M3 (in evo and non evo form) is a proper quick weapon, especially when compared to its contempories....

Thing is that M3 looked better than some of the new ones, Yes I guess it's not fair a 5.4 well-built V8 against a 3.2L engine that losses bhp before it even leaves factory, lol.

More or less all the e36 m3's had some sort of engine problem, mainly vanos failure more so than the E46!

Still was funny to see the look on his face and his passenger, when I blasted past them, they thought there in the m-free init:D

From memory, they were 1585kg kerb weight - not sure what a C55 is?

Mine bloody flew but it was 3 years old when I bought it - out-did an XKR running at 370BHP albeit that was heavier.

I guess some have been not looked after so well as said.

My VANOS gasket did start to bulge so BMW replaced it as otherwise they would have been coughing up for a lot more cash had it gone!

However, it being only an S6, it only produced 258lb/ft of torques.

I can also vouch for it out-performing many of its peers of the day.

:D

C55 is 1630kg

I had an E46 M3 with SMGII and that never flew, it was fast yes but you need to rev the hell out of it to get it going.

I had a similar experience the other week with a Schnitzer badged E36 M3.

I think he thought after reading figures somewhere that he should murder my C43 but his and his passengers' faces were a picture as I went past them.

Looked a really clean exmaple of an E36 in very deep red with schnitzer wheels, spiler & sort of rounded rectangle exhaust they get.

I didnt destroy it or anything but at no point was he able to stop me from making a gap between us.

..Someones gna come on here and say tut tut, you shouldnt have been speeding, nor racing

..whatever.

...just keep smashing up them bimmers all day long!

In general AMG cars are very much tuned as muscle cars - good for our traffic light heroes?. However, as a rule a proper M car will show the equivalent AMG badged car a clean pair of heels once you get to a few twisty bits.

Depends on who's driving....,;)

The 321 bhp E36 M3 evolution only gives full power when running on super unleaded.

IIRC, using "normal" unleaded knocks it down to about 280.

For those of us who have no need to prove that we have genitals, 280 is more than enough in any case.
