My 97 E420 esatate flies but I notice that on hard kickdown there is a delay of about a second or two before it really shifts - is this normal? I have removed one cat due to breakage is this the cause? Thanks
Mine does that i think the gearbox gets into lazyman mode and you suprise it by asking for max power NOW and it takes a while to think okay, then if you notice it will do racey shifts for the next few miles then goes back into lazyman mode.
Of course the above is assuming the level is okay?

Thanks for that. Just wonder what happens in the 'winter' mode rather than 'summer' I know it starts in 2nd but does it change gear at lower revs like a 'sports' mode? I drive around hills all the time and need maximum power and lowish gears.
dont ned to wait until winter.
