Advice please.
I have just been pleasantly surprised to find that my E430 has 16 spark plugs.
No wonder it goes so well !!

There does not appear to be loads of room down there for plug changing.
One of the reasons being that each cylinder appears to have its own ignition module above each pair of plugs.

Any guidance would be much-appreciated.
Do I need to remove one or all of the ignition modules (and anything else to get access ?
Don't want to bust anything expensive.

What is the recommended torque setting ?

Many Thanks.

I did the plugs on my W202 last summer. It's only a V6 so just 12 plugs on that one.

I took the coil packs off one by one as I did each pair. Only held in with a single torx screw.

I guess access is even tighter on the V8, but still do-able with a bit of patience.

Not bad job to change only back four tight for room care removing leads off plugs not required to remove coil packs(unless you want to )

Thanks guys.
That sounds decidedly-do-able to me.

im doing mine soon too, they should be very do-able, theres a how-to my on the "other forum" if thats any help.
