Anybody have experience of this.
Needed to do some welding so disconnected all modules in the ECU compartment and removed them. Welding was underneath ECU in wheel arch.
Reconnected them all after the welding but the transmission control module and ABS/ESP module connectors were loose and not connected properly.
Started the car and it showed the ABS fault on the dash and the transmission was in limp mode. Wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear, big jerk when you go from reverse to drive.
Turned off the car and properly connected the connectors by the ECU.
ABS ESP lights went off but the transmission is still in limp mode.
Do I need to clear the codes with a diagnostic tool to get it out of limp mode?
Tried disconnecting the battery for 10 mins, joining + and - terminals for 20 mins, transmission reset using the accelerator etc etc
Still no joy
Cheers.
