e430 w210 estate valuation

Hi all,

So I put a deposit on a 2001 e430 avantgarde estate, 107k miles fsh minor wheelarch n tailgate rust and factory amg bodykit and alloys. £3200.
Am now worried this is way ott on price....any views? Im.considering walking away n losing my 200 deposit....all.opinions appreciated!

I've seen this car driving around. £3200 isn't cheap but then E430 estates with AMG kits aren't exactly common. It's a pity it needs bodywork though.

Thanks for the reply, the rarity of this was part of the attraction but makes it hard to value as most ive seen are standard. What made think was seeing an e55 amg with fsh for 4.9k with less miles, which is way more car. Then I rang a local merc specialist who reckoned much over 2k was getting expensive. The final alarm was finding some 2001to 2003 e320 diesel avantgardes for similar money with similar prices at circa ££3k with circa 100k miles too.

With all of.that I suddenly thought that the deal doesnt look so rosy especially as it needs a little rust attention and its unclear if the auto box has had its fluid changed. On the other hand the box changed smoothly im tiptronic full bore shifts and auto mode, but I guess my concern is overpaying then having to spend several hundred quid on a transmission fluid change and bodywork is throwing good money away

It's worth about 2k if the body is reasonable. Excessive rust means that it could be less than that.

Hmmm, food for thought then, I wouldnt say rust excessive, tiny bubbling on 2 arches, tiny signs of rust starting on the other 2 as the surface is minutely pimpled, the tailgate drain is worst, with perforation requiring a patch of 2 sq inches.
