    Hi all

new member, hoping to gain some knowledge on the E500

I am currently looking at a 1994 E500, Japanese import. The VIN plate is missing from the radiator cross member but there is an MB Japan VIN sticker on the divers side B pillar. I wondered if this is normal?

the painted data plate to the right of the bonnet catch showing the paint code and options etc is present on the radiator cross member

the car appears straight and extremely clean but I know only from about these cars from reading, I don’t have first hand experience

would much appreciate any input from you knowledgable folk here

    thank you

Take a look in the lower n/s corner of the windscreen and the Vin# should be visible.
Enter that Vin# into this website and you'll obtain all the options fitted when the car was built.

You have a W124 and if it has been cared for, one of the better models when quality was still paramount.
Wikipedia can give you lots of information on the engine ( W119 V8) and there will be a few owners of that model on the forum to help with more information.
