E55 AMG with E63 kit

Thoughts on this, looks decent value?

E55 AMG from Mercedes Approved Used

It has the Full E63 Bodykit and Wheels

Odd thing is that even though it's from an MB dealer they claim it shows 5 Owners but has only had 3. Do you think they mean it's been within the same family?

There are a few W211 E55's for under £30k at the moment

That looks like a facelift front end, new grill etc, is this the case or am I seeing things?

Thats a nice example which has been completly facelifted. Looks like a good job too

Trouble is, a comprehensive facelift is seldom done for the hell of it due to cost - more likely accident damage.

Would be a good buy if not accident damaged.

True, thats why I was worried about the number of owners - I was thinking it should be fairly safe as it's an MB Approved Used Car.

Seems to look stunning, even appears to be badged as an E63. Other than de-badging it what could I mod if I bought it ???

Yep, it's had 'a full E63 body conversion'

Surely an offical MB dealer wouldnt sell it if it hadnt been repaired to their standards should it have been accident damaged?

Yep, that's what I want but W211 E55 estates aren't cheap enough yet.

If the one with the E63 kit was an Estate I'd have a much bigger dilema on my hands

There was a Silver E55 Estate for 28K on Piston heads its gone now.


2 more for just over 30K at the mo.

Have to say its an awesome car, my old boss had one and the few times we went out in it wow.... Also had funny 'g' force seats that hug you... weired.

Not far from me either, I 'may' go and have a look at the weekend. I say may, I shouldn't really as I'm not looking to change - I think I'll be easily tempted.

Thats after all an AMG, and its impossible to tell the difference from the exterior, performance? 1 or 2 secs slower perhaps.

I wouldnt say theres any problem with that being 'Overbadged' IMO
