Hi, all is fine apart from when going over speed bumps and crappy road surfaces there is a creaking sound coming from the osf. This is evident ehen driving at slow speeds but not when driving normally.. any ideas guys?? Sorry its a 2004 ,E55k 63,000 miles.

Creaks are usually lower or upper ball joints however.....
It could also be the front castor arm bush rubber breaking away from the metal casing ( these need to be dropped down to inspect properly) or as a fellow poster recently mentioned..
The roll bar rubbers creaking
Do you have a good specialist close to you?

Try to spray a wd40 on bushes and hopefully it will stop creacking had the same problem a while ago on my w211 320cdi the garages couldnt find the problem and they just sprayed wd40 on bushes after few days creacking sound dissappear

My 2004 E55 creaked from day one of my ownership (4 years), drove me mad. MB replaced all the usual suspects, upper and lower ball joints and even had both front airmatic struts replaced (thankfully under warranty). I then took it to Andy at PCD / Eurocharged and he diagnosed the bushes on the anti-roll bar as Wayne has suggested above. This is a known problem where the bushes basically de-bond from the bar allowing slight movement.

Initially we gave them a good dose of Wurth HHS-2000 spray grease (similar to what astamir has suggested), which didn't cure it, but probably made it 75% better in the short term. It's worth giving this a go firstly as it will determine if these bushes are at fault. Unfortunately the bushes are not available separately as they are fully bonded to the bar so the only cure is to replace the bar. I now have a new bar fitted and the silence over bumps etc is bliss!!!
