E55 Fuel Smell

OK so im just about to go on hols and theres a massive smell of fuel in the cabin from the air vents. Ive got a local looking tomorrow, seems to be coming from the right side of the engine (facing car),. Any thoughts? thanks

Could be a leaky/perished pipe, a poor connection/connector, injector. Get someone who knows what they are doing to check it out. No naked flames.

At rear right hand side engine there is return fuel breather pipe where it changes from metal(alloy) to plastic/rubber hose these can slip apart giving petrol smell without a leak at times VERY strong and can enter cab via top vent Pipe is just by rear cylinder ignition coils hope this helps

yes well it isnt there now and the guys couldnt find it today. Off on hols now lets see if it happens....thanks for all the feedback.
