There was me thinking you're male :D

Mines due on the 12th of November, online quotes can be as high as 5 grand!!
My present company have put it up 5 quid a month which is OK but it still works out at £1500 a year, I couldn't find anywhere cheaper last year.
Specialist AMG insurers are the dearest of the lot, and Swinton send me a letter every two days saying they can beat my renewal but are double....They still send me letters, they must go through some trees...I could start my own paper recycling plant I have that many from them.
I tried Peter Best but they won't do it because it's on the drive and not in a garage.
I have 17 years no claims and not had a point since 1991.
Any suggestions?

Mine's due on the 11th November and I am not looking forward to it.

However my renewal letter from DL is looking favourable (£661).

I thought Sheila's Wheels was just for 'the ladies'.

However, I suspect I am confusing them with the company that has the telephone number ending in 36-24-36

Despite being male (last time I looked) I'm also with Shielas wheels. Cheapest quote on comparison web sites and I get £300 handbag cover!!

Strangely esure, which is the same company, quoted about £40 more and my handbag (if I had one) would have been left un-insured.

Well I just spent a couple of hours getting quotes, Direct line came back as unable to quote but gave no reason.
Got a quote for £7,458.46!!
Some of the websites are designed by idiots and it's impossible to answer the questions, (where will the car be during the day?)
There is no box for "wherever I happen to be"
Looks like I'll have to stick with Esure, I've no idea how people manage to get insurance for £700 ish, 17 years NCB and 20 years clean license I thought was pretty impressive but obviously not.

under £400 with Aviva :)

I'm interested in this.
Insurance quotes seem no longer to based on age, experience or liability but more on whatever a company thinks they can get away with. Just try asking for quotes on the same car, same postcode, same risk but first without admitting to any previous renewal quote and then admitting to the amount asked for on a renewal.
As I've said before; Car insurance = Legalised theft.

HOW?!

I've just git this off them.

cars registered to Mrs, live out of london and its garaged, declare minimal milage. also you might find newer cars are a little cheaper

After getting quotes 'till 5am I've got it down to £762.11 if I pay it in one hit, I'm pleased with that it works out half price.
Trouble now is I did that many quotes I'm being bombarded with phone calls from the people that wanted thousands, at least I get the pleasure of telling them they're taking the p***!
:D

I just got an email off my insurance company so I rang them up, (I've been getting spam mail off people pretending to be someone else) anyway it was genuine.
They are telling me they made a mistake and it should have cost more and they want me to send documents to them, copies of everything except the original proof of no claims which they won't return.
I told them to speak to my previous insurers as I am rather fond of my piece of paper that says 17 years NCB!...And that's my proof.
Anyway at least they said they will honour the policy price as it was their mistake but wouldn't tell me by how much they undercharged!

I get my AMG C36 full comp for £190 per year
