E55 M113k own and maintenance

Greetings Forum members,

I just joined today since I found very valuable info from one member regarding fuel pressure regulator...

Already changed AC compressor, new valve cover gaskets, oil, transmission oil..

Now I need to change new injectors, fuel pressure regulator, spark plugs, two cables and fuel filter... Then ride the beast
Car is missing the book with service history, but it is in good condition.

Hope to find more valuable info on the forum...

Sounds as though you have been showing you MB some love and she will thank you for it I'm sure, more than a few jobs on your list to tick off too I see, onwards and upwards as they say, but good for you for cracking on, as you will save more than a few bob doing them yourself, and get to know they are done properly too right?

Yeah... It is my second car and plan to enjoy it. So I plan to do everything I can by myself. Some things like electric and diagnostic I will leave to professional service. But muscle work can be done.
Since it is second car it's not mandatory to service everything ASAP.
Daily driver is something more reasonable so as I collect some euros plan to spend it this way instead of something stupid

plugs, gearbox service would be top of my list, injectors should be fine , bushes are normally worn by now if not already replaced. otherwise drive and enjoy ! they are great cars as long as you stay on top of the things that go wrong.

How many kilometres on this engine ? 16 sparkplugs can be expensive , but (in my opinion) not necessary to buy them from Mercedes Benz , I have replaced 16 plugs on my M113 with non MB supplied ones with no problems.

Hi,

140 000 km. It is import from Japan to Bulgaria and then to Croatia. It is reliable. As you all said as long as you are on top of regular maintenance. It is in full stock condition. Only thing that is different on the car is stereo replaced by Android but I also have the original unit but Android is more convenient, and it is some shitty antena, probably someone braked the original one. Rest of the car is perfect, no oil leaks, no weird sounds from drivetrain, transmission works smooth, all electric equipment is working. Rubber around roof window is little cracked but functional. Seats are in perfect condition and operational without massage function. No rust in any part.

I will make it young again
