Wasn't them actually. Think they would recommend the s/c pulley as it's much easier job to fit.

Have you done yours?

Not yet, but when I do it will be a Eurocharged map and 77mm s/c pulley done at MSL in Birmingham. I know there are closer options, but I have seen the guys working there and would trust them 100% with this.

I will stick with the Eurocharged guys in Watford... if I can ever get hold of them!

If I do get my exhaust done then I hear the trip to Brum is well worthwhile.

Is your exhaust mod a pur noise thing or any power gain too?

^ I don't know if there were any gains as I only had one dyno run, after the exhaust work:doh:
If there is an increase it will only be a couple of BHP I would think.

I did it more for the aural pleasure:D

Hi Nick , regards the paint work , wet sand and rust kill if necessary then use this paint image-903940238.jpg Here's some parts i did this week ,no primer needed . image-2554466017.jpg image-801830650.jpg

Not been back to this thread in some time, fun tracking back on the addiction. Definitive list of work done to the car as of today -

Eurocharged Remap (redone post new s/c pulley and headers)
New upgraded Bosch I/C Pump
Most front suspension parts replaced due to rust/wear and tear
Waxoyld
Breathers & Gaskets
New gearbox mount
Viseeo MBU3000 (working perfectly for me)
New rear Airmatic units
New Compressor
Quaife LSD
Eurocharged Headers
Primary Cat Delete
Eurocharged Supercharger Pulley

Car now sounds like this https://youtu.be/fhqvULAjuRY

And produced this on the dyno

Work coming up in the very near future -

New Tyres all round
New top ball joints on front sus (to get rid of last creak)
Respray 5 panels with chips and scratches
Refurb the wheels

Further mods under consideration... but unnecessary I think (at the moment)

Then it will be going in the garage to hide from the Scottish winter.

Finally got round to sorting out the half moon shaped metal plate behind the rear wiper pivot.

It's a part you can buy separately for a whole £9 I'm glad to say, so got a shiny new one on now.

Seems to be a common issue with W211 estates

Very long overdue update on my E55...
Finally had the passenger side paintwork sorted post keying episode and bonnet done too
Wheels refurbed in gunmetal
New Goodyear F1 tyres for the summer
Service at Klasse Series - new s/c tensioner few other minor bits but nothing major this time round.
Steering wheel retrimmed at Tanscal in Livingston
Rear windows tinted

Car is running like a dream, 8k miles into my ownership now and just about to go on roadtrip to Barcelona next week.

Looks mint, nice one.

Cheers. The guys at JRM Coachworks in Edinburgh did a great job on the repaint and after much deliberation I really like the gunmetal on the wheels, freshsens the car up quite a bit but keeps it OEM.

For any Scottish based AMG owners looking for a specialist I can really recommend Colin at Klasse Series in East Calder http://www.ksautomotive.co.uk/

looking good! steering wheel looks nice!

Cheers Alps - bringing this car back up to scratch after it sitting rusting on a driveway in Belfast for 6 years has been a lot of fun.

Steering wheel - Automotive - Transcal are really good (not cheap). I would have used Royals but chickened out of taking the wheel off myself! Transcal just round the corner from me now in sunny Livingston.

Incidentally I had a text from Gordon G Paddles the other day - with photos to prove it - the E55 paddles are now prototyped and will be produced soon.

That will almost definitely, probably, maybe be the last mod I do... until the one after that.

e.g. lurking at Transcal got me thinking about a full interior retrim.

Nick, do you have a link to this?

Nick, do you have a link to this?

I don't sorry but any specialist can order for you from Mercedes.

The guys at the garage I went to were very surprised that the part was so cheap and readily available.

Thanks Nick, I'll ask. Is it an easy fit?

As I recall it's just glued on.
