Hi all,

Have noticed for some time that if i brake firmly whilst downhill, i can hear a fairly loud 'droning' noise coming from the front of the car, it pulls up ok, but any ideas...? SBC issue maybe ?

Cheers

SBC normally kicks in after 3 presses I think so depending on how loud yours is, you can hear it in the cabin and feel it through the pedal (vibration).

If it is consistent with the braking and doesn't stop and until you take your foot off the pedal (assuming more than the few seconds the pump normally goes for), then it might be something else.

When you are idle, press the brake pedal 3 times - is that the same noise you hear? (it shouldn't be any louder or quieter on a hill I wouldn't have thought).

Thanks for info...some info from the other side suggests the cross drilled brakes, apparently can be common issue, SBC seems to work as you describe...

I noticed a drone from mine this morning having not used it for a week.

That is normally crap on the discs like corrosion.

Bit of hard braking sorts it out...
