Bargain - budget a grand for any unseen problems and there’s a lot of fun and bhp for no money at all.

    £10/bhp :D

That’s great value for money to my man maths!

    But seriously, 6 months warranty and a year’s MOT, sub £5k - it’ll be gone tomorrow I reckon :)

Clearly states in the advert “been taken in part exchange and is being offered as a trade sale” which means there’ll be no warranty.

    Still a bargain though.

I wonder what valuation the garage gave the previous owner. He must have stolen it to be able to offer it back for sale at that pice.

Won't be there for long that is certain.

Wow that is cheap - I would probably put the buying price aside for repairs and maintenance..

A running ‘55k lump has to be worth upwards of £3k, maybe £4k or so even with that mileage?

Wheels, brakes, etc - yep it’s worth more than £5k in parts easy

Which is also illegal when selling to private buyers...

So cheap but the price is reflective of the interior condition, also I note the n/s headlight is incorrect (wrong replacement unit).

Agreed a small nudge at the front but i still think at the price it doesn't matter, also i reckon the leather could be brought back fine.

Just to add im not in the market lol

Don't they have to sell it as "spares or repair" if they want to avoid their obligations?

I thought a trade sale was just that.

I think it's Fantastic value for money. I'd buy it cash, no warranty given or implied, budget a grand to sort it out and go and enjoy.

I agree, it’s not something I want at the moment but if I wanted an AMG I’d be down there tomorrow :p

Yes they can sell marked clearly as spares repairs and trailer away etc. to absolve them of their legals obligations. If they don't then they have standard obligations for what it is worth.

I sold my E55K wagon wth great history 94k miles I think with that little nudge at the front for 6k remember. I don't think this is cheap just the right price.

It’ll be a misprint - I’ll ring them tomorrow to confirm but it’ll be the first trade sale in history that comes with a 6 month warranty...

Of course they’d be likely to say no, but despite the mileage etc I think they could be on a sticky wicket if something major went wrong - eg the engine went bang on the way home - and it was sold to a private purchaser/consumer.

Perhaps I’ve got it wrong but I could have sworn I read that ‘trade sales’ usually only apply to trade purchasers - if they’re retailing the car to the public and have advertised it in black and white with six months warranty if you wanted to push for it I think the law could fall on your side. If nothing else it would be a headache for them!
