What are peoples thoughts on this one? Do you think it's had abit of paint? Silver cars are a nightmare and dont mind if a car has had paint but not if its not matched well.

Mercedes-Benz E Class 5.4 E55 AMG 4dr

Shame Garage seems ok review wise, was wondering if it was worth a look :dk:

Paintwork on front wing does not appear to match to door, it is listed as having 16 inch alloys which clearly isn't the case, says it has black leather which is also clearly not the case, they never came with black leather, it was either all anthracite or anthracite with merlot (as this car seems to have), or anthracite with blue. There is however no substitute to looking at it in the metal. I have seen photos where colour match seemed off and when you look at it in real life it turns out to be a trick of the light, proving the camera certainly does lie.

Thanks MOR8A some useful info there, Didnt relised about the leather not being black :) Humm 150-160 mile drive there, but its a straight forward drive. Just pondering if it's worth it or not. Yes the description clearly is inaccurate on points.

If you can get a good one you will love it! What a brilliant car! Get a dog and it could make you cry into your corn flakes every morning, along with wondering where all your money has gone. Anthracite with merlot is a lovely combo (it is what I had in my E55K), it results in you getting violet stitching too! Oh and merlot leather on the door cards.

If you are not too clued up on them, might be worth getting someone who is to go with you, or pay for a proper inspection, could be a good money saving exercise in the long run.

That NSF wing sticks out and the rear bumper . The interior looks like quite worn. Hold out for the right car..it will appear. :thumb:

Yep think i will give that a Pass:thumb: Thanks to both of you for the input :)

This dealer isn't a specialist so you can't always expect hem to know the difference between anthracite and black leather etc. However this is a specialist car and therefore I wouldn't buy a car of this magnitude from a run of the mill dealer.

It's a typical case of lazy advertising, it is rife on autotrader. The seats (when you are near them) don't look black, any fool could see that, they are ''grey'' if anything was needed as an easy way to describe them. If the seller can even list the correct wheel size....................?

Very hard to see paint from photos, front wings usually look mis-coloured due the flare of the arch.

The best, and only, way is to see it with your own eyes.

Mis-matched paint is a personal annoyance of mine. My eye is always drawn to it.

The bonnet and lights has the classic mis-alignment (look at the gap - you could fit a Bengal tiger through that) so it has probably had a smack at the front.

The previous owners / passengers all had sandpaper on their asses by the look of those seats - not loved at all.

Those wheels could be the 19"s actually.

Not enough outside pictures - one quarter picture missing.

Not worth £9k...

^ Agree with John above, the o/s/f wing has had a respray and its not a good match.
Not much in the way of options fitted and coupled to the mileage, not a £9k car.

Front end smack, replica wheels? 120k save a bit more money and keep your eyes peeled for a better one.

Again glad i posted the above, Many thanks Peeps for the advice :)
