Eh? I'm just curious how someone can go on international media broadcasting the fact that a few weeks ago they were doing 190+ mph on normal roads without (apparently) being worried about any legal consequences.
Can say what you like in public, could all be construed as fake news.
 
13 states have laws that prohibit the use of cameras and 28 States in the USA have no statute for use of speed cameras, therefore you have to be caught in the act of speeding for the trooper or highway officer to establish sufficient cause for a traffic citation. You can film yourself all you like, if you don't commit felony crime whilst doing it you can't be prosecuted.

Colorado is the only state on the possible route that has them, and I have not seen they went through that state, though they did mention engine problems in the mountains. I know Colorado and if they averaged the speed limit they did well.

As far as I know (and have been) you only get fined by camera for violating car pool lanes and not paying tolls, that's it.
