(I don't understand why the rest of the pictures are down at the bottom, and I hate f****ing about with IT at the best of times, and I'm not going to do it all over again, so there...

Okay, rant over. Aaaaaand rest...)

E63AMG Biturbo Estate, 2012, Performance Package (550 bhp/590 lb ft), Designo Magno Mystic Blue, 92K miles. Driver’s Package, reversing camera, heated/cooled/massage seats, panoramic roof, Parktronic, COMAND, climate control, full black leather; it would take ages to list it all, so let’s just say all the usual stuff – it cost £85K in 2012. If you’re interested in the car, I will send you the datacard with the full specification list – all four pages of it...

I am the third owner, and have had it since April 2018. Service History? 2013 (11K miles), 2014 (23K ), 2015 twice (35K, 48K), 2016 (64K), 2017 (79K) (all main dealer), then 2018 (87K) and 2019 (92K) at well-known independent MB specialist Wayne Gates in Harrow.

The M157 engine’s conrods are a known possible weakness – they can bend - if a misfire occurs, and mine has just had, at great expense, a major rebuild: one cylinder rebored and a liner fitted, and all new conrods, pistons and piston rings; skimmed and refurbished cylinder heads. The other known issue – the timing chains – is also sorted, because all the chains and tensioners were renewed as a matter of course as part of the rebuild. So was the intercooler coolant pump, which was the probable cause of the misfire. The plugs are new and the gearbox oil was changed. All the work was done at Wayne Gates.

If you want the full expensive story, see my thread: It's Not A Good Sign When...

If you want an independent opinion on the car, Terry Gates is happy to be called for one.

The rebuilt engine isn’t run in yet; I’ve only done 600 miles since.

I previously fitted three new coils while trying to diagnose the misfire. Two of the camshaft position sensors were leaking oil slightly, so I replaced all four earlier this year.

It driver perfectly, and is in pretty good condition, with everything working, but there are one or two marks that reflect it's age and mileage. The wheels do not require refurbishment.

It will go on eBay as an auction soon, and in the end I’ll sell it to WBAC if I have to, because it has to go to make way for the ML500 I just bought. It would have to go anyway; I’ll lose my licence if I keep it...

How much do I want for it? Well, the engine rebuild is worth nothing to the average Joe Punter, but on here, to somebody who knows what it is, I think it ought to add something.

How about £16K? Please PM me so we can talk if you're interested...
