E63 Front Grill Mod - Yea or Nay?

I don't do mods as such, but this revised grille arrangement caught my eye at MSL yesterday - I like the fewer, but larger blades - more aggressive IMO.

The chrome centre star is available in black or chrome.

Acid can supply the AMG badge in place of the crosshair.

The grille seems of reasonable quality and fit - the owner is very happy with it.

What do you think?

Prefer the standard one...unfortunately the latest models (to the UK) can not have this option...only the "sport" version.

Definitely the aftermarket one, but without the AMG badge and single slat version, all black with a chrome star

I think I agree with Khz.

I have a S212 too & currently wrestling with this dilemma.

I have a strong urge to change the grille as have on most of my MBs. However, I love the sticky up star- it helps guage where the front of the car is & reminds one what car is being driven....
As I wish to keep the star, it would look stupid with 2 stars on the front, hence I do not want a grille with a star embedded.
But, I would like one with fewer slats...
Or I may just paint my one black...

So probably no help to you, I am afraid, but I will follow with interest!
