I've got a couple of large stone chips on the component called the 'grille cover' on the grille of my car (part 9 on the attached pic) and I want to replace it with a new one.

Does anyone know if this can be removed without taking off the front bumper?

I've seen a video on YouTube where the star emblem on a CLA45 (parts 11 & 13 on the attached pic) with what looks like the same grille as an E63 is rotated anti-clockwise and pulled off so you can put your hand through the hole to access the back of the grille. However it won't budge on my car.

Anyone any advice or tips?

Cheers.

Remove the panelling and ducts etc that are on top of grill and the whole grill should come out as one piece, you need to do that before you remove the bumper anyway :)
