E63 mpg

Yeah, very true & the wagons are slowly coming down in price - they need to be nearer the £30k mark & I’m sure next year they’ll be within budget 🤞
I think be oldest examples will be approaching that kind of money soon. Although for obvious reasons I hope they (saloon or wagon) don’t come down too quickly 😉

Collected my (new to me) E63 S estate 2 weeks ago ... not managed to drive it a great deal as yet but saw a 22mpg figure commuting to work on Friday. Then went to meet some friends in York saturday and ended up sat in traffic for ages ... my 20+ mpg turned into 13mpg by the time I'd parked up. But hey, I knew it would be a thirsty beast. :)

Hopefully I'll squeeze 20mpg-ish ave going forward.

High mpg is possible when required, I’ve seen mine do 33mpg on a run from the U.K. to Le Mans.

Equally, I’ve seen single figures when on a (rare) trip to the office…..

33mpg is seriously impressive!!

If the car has been mapped, might effect the mileage including any lower tyre pressure 🤔

Glad you didn't ask about the 6.2l w212, combined is around 17.8mpg for me which includes a fair bit of motorway travel
My w212 S amg was combined around 22.5mpg over 25k miles driven combined

Ok, so I’ve misunderstood, wouldn’t be the first time..🤣
£1650 would be the first VED for 12 months then it stays at £190 per year..??
That’s good news considering I’m after a 2017 W213 E63.
It’s only my 911 that’s going up 😳
What’s the 911 going from, and to?

I think all VED goes up a few % occasionally to reflect inflation etc but I haven’t seen any significant changes?

Assuming I'm understanding it correctly (hopefully I'm not) it's rising from £415.00 to £735.00 per year - this is based on it's g/km being in the highest bracket of over 255g/km - that's two cars I'll own in the highest bracket

^^this ,as far ad im aware my C63s isn't going up from what I can find out
What I can't understand is why mine and the previous 1 I did a deal with (which was sold the day before I collected it) mine is £385 and the other 1 was £190 identical car's both the same year 🤔

Nope - have a look at the link you posted :)

Your 911 should be in band ‘K’ as it was registered before March 2006.

This explains it quite well

Which cars are affected?

The changes will affect new cars purchased from April next year

Second-hand cars manufactured before April 2025 will not be impacted. So if you buy a used car you won’t have to worry about the higher rates.

There’s very little changing for existing car owners IMHO - only thing worthy of note is post 2017 EVs will be paying £190 a year instead of FOC as they are currently (pre-2017 EVs will be £20 ;))

A lot of scaremongering and misinformation about this it seems.
