Hello, I'm fairly new to this forum. Awesome site with lots of wealth of knowledge and info.

I have a question and wondering if someone could chime in. Basically I want to know if the e63 REAR stub axle is the same between w211 and w212 chassis?

I tried look for part numbers but I'm not so great.

Thanks in advance

part numbers and the part are likely to be different

Almost certainly different, Stub axle? Hub Carrier what the Driveshaft go's through i presume?

I've lost access to 7zap :(

Im very surprised there the same, fair play lol

Those are both for W211 chassis cars though? The W212 may be the same but I would check first :)

Well spotted, for sure I'd think the W212 is different, will check now......

Thanks everyone for the info. Just wondered will the w212 rear caliper and disc simply swap with the w211 e55. The difference between them in terms of size is 330mm verse 360mm. Hat size PCD and bore look like it's all the same.

This is true only for cars made after 31/08/2003. Early 211 had smaller shaft spline, half shafts and 10-bolt pattern diff gear. Unlike the later type which had single, beefier shafts and 12-bolt pattern diff.

PS. I realise this is irrelevant to OP’s question. I just hope it helps someone desperately looking for this info on the internet one day :)
