Space, anonanimity, running costs, a ility to park it anywhere...
Reminds me in part with my 1996 Demonstrator Escort Cosworth..... That you couldn't park anywhere.
And yes the orange is only on the face lift. This was the 2nd car delivered in Scotland.
And they are not crappy. These aren't really Nissans. Built in a purpose built factory, they fit and finish is actually quite good. Compared to the new BMW 850i I actually thing the Nissans interior is more honest and usable.
So I'm looking for a well specd low mileage 2014 or earlier S8 with preferably an Audi used approved warranty on it. 9
Just looking for some advice, looking at buying a W212 E63 wagon, budget circa 35k so a 2014/2015 model. I'm not planning on doing much mileage and anyway the Volvo struggles to get 25mpg so I can deal with projected 18-22mpg. Clean licence and parked in a garage so insurance should be OK.
Qs
1. Anything I need to be wary of?
2. They come pretty loaded but any options that are key? Do fancy vented seats.
3. Is the S worth the extra? I'm planning on mapping it anyway so thd power gain is not a de iding factor.
4. Any big bills I should factor in at specific mileages?
5. Tyres, I'm a goodyear fan but thinking Michelin PSs
6. Buying it in part for the noise but I do t want to piss the neighbours off totally (GT-R and new Panamera turbo S a few doors away so I'm not alone). Standard exhaust ok? Miltek sounds good but expensive.
Appreciate any info.

[/QUOTE]As above I'm currently Contemplating an S8, but the E63 wagon/CLS SB63 are a close 2nd. Panamera Turbo in 3rd place.I'd take a very deep breath before ever contemplating those mpg figures. I've had the same engine on ML63 and average 7mpg. On a fantastic day i once showed 20mpg (at a steady 50mph and was so shocked I photographed the screen.) Nearly all town driving but even on modest-decent A road runs you'll be lucky to hit 13mpg. And as you know it has to be premium petrol not regular unleaded.
Insurance is Group 50 but actual premium not too bad.
Other shocker is it will simply eat tyres and brakes. You have to get used to this but get a quote for the front disks and pads. (Mercedes main dealer quoted me £2,700. And no alternative suppliers anywhere) And take out the RAC Tyre Insurance (£7 per month for 5 'damaged' tyres up to £350 each a year)
On the other hand, look at the Doug DeMuro coverage. It's his personal car and it's the highest rated car he has reviewed (although now overtaken to top spot by the 2019 E63)
Slight caution if you are ever near here in Central London - the police have fitted sound sensors and are impounding cars that exceed dB levels. They now sit outside Harrods and here in Mayfair and pull over all the modified supercars. Instant off the road with no need for them to argue about insurance/ownership/licence etc which is the usual way of nabbing them,
My preference is Black with carbon but other combinations could workI think the interior is lovely! There were cracking lease deals on those when they were new.
Lapiz blue does look stunning though.Golf r for the win, awesome cars. A few of my mates have them. 1 is standard and the other stage 3 which is mental. Just don't go for blue every body seems to have them in blue
