My head says ignore the CL65
My heart says otherwise
Logic says don't touch the CL

The E63. Great spec but there are others out there

Hard choice
HELP !!!

I love CL's but they are a big car.

I wonder if the V12 65 will be more of a barge than you'd expect an AMG to be :dk:. E63's are light on their feet for their size.

Nice choice to have though.

Assuming that the actual cars are good ones, then you can't go wrong with either model, as both the CL65 and E63 are great cars.

I looked for a CL65 and couldn't find a good one. You seem to have been looking even longer, if you've found a good one just get it bought!

However if you've found a good one and you're still undecided then I would say you probably don't want one "enough", so get the E63 or something else entirely.

That's my thought. The CL65 is one of only 4 facelift cars but still I hesitate
I live in London. Too big to park in normal spaces. Too big to go through some of the traffic bollards etc
Beautiful but at £60k just too much for a luxury item

So back to a super car saloon or SL63

Forgive me if I take liberty.. Just in case you need a little clarification :thumb:

You mention E63 AMGS at the top..
Yet refer to E63 at the bottom (as others out there)..

Don't get confused between the 2.
E63 AMG and E63 AMGS are 2 very different beasts.
The S has more power (almost 600) and ECU remap will give you 700 easy, Revised suspension etc and the spec is very high as it has all the options standard anyway (pretty much).

And only 5 on sale on Autotrader for the whole country..
That isn't many lol.

Just saying.. :D

E63

Hi
Thanks for the input
It's the E63AMGS that's under the microscope
£93k new
The CL65. £175k new

Think that says a lot but only £10k difference in price
But but but I hesitate on the CL

I am trying to put myself in your shoes,I would love to be able to afford either of those cars,I think the CL65 comes down to if you will be driving it around London, just how much fun is that going to be,I have always looked at these cars as high days and feast days cars, fantastic to roll it out at a weekend and drive off and enjoy it,of the two the E63AMGS is by far the best car if you intend to drive it on a daily basis, one thing do not chicken out choose one or the other,or you will kick yourself for not making a decision.

CL65 <= decision made. Now what are you going to do with the rest of your day?

For me the CL is the one, that is if i can afford either car including depreciation.

The CL is the better looking car even when it ages compared to the E but this is just my opinion of course each to their own, one thing for sure is if your not spending money on the cars other than fuel you likely to have a big grin on your face what ever car you choose.

Pillar-less doors and windows are always a win and as much as I love V8's, you can't beat a V12

Get the CL you only live once! :thumb:

Cl65

I must admit
Walking up to the CL gave me a buzz
Open the door
Beautiful finish
Quilted seats
A keeper
The E63 is much more usable but a tad "boring" in the looks department
Chris Harris described it as a fast taxi.! Ouch

I was in Nice on Wednesday and left before the carnage of yesterday
You only live once is so true !

To be honest, I went from a CL63 Bi-Turbo to the E63S only because of a new baby and the need for a car seat.
Otherwise I would still be in the CL. I traded in an E63 for the CL initially and only the E63S made me move (as explained above).. Otherwise the baby was in the boot!.

Beautiful lines, wonderful drive (so comfortable).
And if you are looking at a CL65 V12.. I had a SL600 (V12)..
That engine.. wow.

If I had the choice.
CL65 would win.

If only they built parking spaces wide enough lol.
Like you say, only live once.

Now, where was that DB9 Carbon Black Edition ..

CL65 all day!

CL for me too.

Has to CL65 for me too

I traded in my 760Li for the E63 and honestly the 760Li was on another level I miss that car everyday.

Lifes too short sometimes you need to let the heart get it's way

Yip!!! Wrong choice!!! Not helpful am I!?!? [emoji848]

Cl65

My heart is taking over
I open my door
I walked down the steps
I have keys in my hand
Eyes closed - what car will make my pulse quicken

The CL65 every time

Think that's sorted then !!

If it helps, I had an E63 and am now on my second CL63. The CL is a far superior car. As regards size, parking and width restrictions I have never had any issues or felt it was too big.

Get the CL65 or you'll always be thinking "what if ....."
