Hey guys


We are now happy to say that we have commenced and finished with our first step of planned works on this beast.

So we bought a Race Chip GTS Black tuning box to see how it would match up against the stock figures and also to see how it compares with our planned works to come, check the results out below

Hey Acid... hope ya well... the Racechip box is this detectable by warranty? Be it Mercedes or others? As I believe it's inline fitment isn't it?
 
Is the race chip any good? I had a bit of a pre conceived idea it wouldn’t be worthy of such a car? Why wouldn’t you just remap it?

The Race chip I wanted to test out first as many people will be wondering about warranty. The race chip can be removed before it goes into the dealership and normally will not leave any traces. The box can be removed in 20 mins and all the connections are direct fitment so no wire cutting or sticky black tape !

The Race chip did make the car move alive to be fair and again people will use tuning boxes cos of warranty issues.
I will be remapping the Car Monday as today I removed the tuning box. I have had a map ready for a while now but wanted to do some testing on the Race Chip box. I will up load the graph for the tuning box as the first post was a fail!!

Down Pipes from Russia had these for a few week will install next week !! We will need to Remove the Gearbox as I dont want to cut the Stock cats out.

A Few updates

Lowering

I have been in Contact with some guys called mbcansolutions who do the lowering modules for Mercedes. After a little research of other companies I thought paying over £1000 for a lowering module was not cheap. I did not want to use any lowering Links. Mbcansolutions lowering module cost just over £400 and I have to say I was quite impressed.

Module



Control inside the car -
The Module is plugged directly into the obd port and the setting can be changed from the Track Pad.

  • Factory (Factory level of your car when our module plugged in for the first time)
  • Low (Factory minus 32 mm)
  • Custom (by default same as Low, but can be changed by user)
All this takes is 1min and Job done and remove the module.

Interestingly my 12 plate E63 did the 1/4 mile in 12.5s and 118mph over the line and I still have to give it a run since you guys boosted it up to 683bhp

What happens with the Sport plus/race settings. Does it drop by a further 15mm. Similarly how high does it raise when using the lift button?
 
Quick Update

Car is know Tuned with a Stage 1 ECU tune with Air Filter

Car is Running 765 BHP and now we have done some more testing from 100 to 200 km.

Next Stage will be Down Pipes and a fine adjustment to the map

Looking about 600bhp with Down pipes about 630 to 650 bhp....
