First it was the front offside light comming on when I brake, (no change) now when I have any external lights on the cruise wont engage.
Have checked for water ingress and bulb failure but everything seems OK.
As per my previouse thread people sugested wiring but I dont know what else to check. Maybe I'll go to an electrical whiz & see what they say. Any sugestions.

The fault is in the rear light unit. The CC is seeing the brake light on when the lights are on.
Have you checked the bulbs .?
Try disconnecting the rear light units and see what happens, apart from the bulb warning light coming on.

The contacts on the light units short out.

    Hi,

If you have checked all the earths (there are several)

Maybe you have some water ingress - its electrics worst enemy

I repaired one a while ago and every time you brake the esp+pad sensor light came on it turned out to be a CAN fault in the loom, the loom had chafted along the body and subframe it took me ages to pinpoint it.

Double check the basics first and back track you could have missed something:)
