Hi guys,

The car has ran over 600miles at weekend alone and done great, but my abs light came on (another post....dealing with it) but the car clunks when going from park into drive when on my sloped drive way, never on flat ground. So I thought id investigate and the pipes from the auto box running to the front are corroded badly and weeping fluid (not sure if oil/coolant or both) could this be the cause??

Whilst underneath with the skid pan off I noticed the earth strap at the bottom of engine to chassis was hanging by 3 strands...... will order tommorrow as a quick fix but will this have any major impact if it breaks between now and it arriving/fitted?

Long winded I know but any help appreciated as always.

The earth strap will stop the car starting if it breaks so needs to be replaced.
Loss of fluid - it is auto trans fluid - will cause the gearbox to misbehave. If it has not had a ATF change for a while then best to do that (and the filter) at the same time as changing the pipe.
Both jobs need attending to reasonably quickly!

Cheers there is a specialist called mackies tarnsmissions in glasgow, do you think they will do the pipes, I know they service the box and flush with new filter for £120 +vat.

yes it is a common problem for the pipes to corrode and leak. I would think the pipe would be about £30 (from MB - you may need to order it) + fitting.
