East Midlands Mercedes (Almost) Virgin - Hinckley/Burbage

Having recently bought my first Mercedes, a 2004 CLK200 Kompressor Avantgarde Convertible, consequently I visit your Fountain of All Knowledge and will seek the guidance of the membership as I attempt to unravel the mysteries of the brand.

The car is 17 years old and although in very good cosmetic condition it appears to have the odd niggle or two, hopefully none that have drastic implications.

My first priority is to find a reliable and talented local independent garage, Hinckley/Burbage area of Leicestershire. One that can be recommended for all of my mechanical/electrical work on the car? At the age my car is I'd definitely prefer the usually moderate charges that will likely incur when compared to the Mercedes Main Dealers scale of charges.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, many thanks in anticipation.

My daughter has an ML and lives in Hinckley and uses Mercland and is very happy with them. I also bought an ML from them , and would also highly recommend them .

Mercland are very good as has been stated. I've not heard any bad reviews on either tollgate or amg Midlands but beware that amg Midlands is just another generic mechanic garage and not an AMG specialist!

Yes that's right but will be OK for a 2004 CLK200.

I've always used Lou at Tollgate, he has a wealth of knowledge and its a family run business. Although I bought a B200 from Mercland I have never needed any specialised work as the car run very well in 4 years of ownership.
