Hmm..

1954 Riley Saloon | eBay

Cheers,

Gaz

That is by far the best camouflage paint work I have ever seen on body work. Stunning. For those not in the know, you would think that there was no body on that chassis.

It's got the brass chassis plate.

Minimum £50k to get that back together.

Words fail me; other than "F**k a Duck"...

They must have been wetting themselves listing that...

I think the point is that it has the V5 and chassis plate. If you have a similar car you could swap the chassis plate to get an MOT then sell the 1954 number plate. Illegal so he can't put that in the add but that's what'll happen.
Depends what the reg number is though and if it's transferable.
You can then use what's left for the next Red Bull soap box race...

...or you could buy this.

What a lovely old thing.

Riley RMA 1 1/2 litre 4 door saloon | eBay

The more I look at cars as old as me the more I fancy dipping my toe....

Best idea is to make friends with people who run one. A late 40s car is slow, breaks more rapidly than it brakes and wanders all over the shop. Pretty things but the beauty is entirely skin deep. Don't ask me how I know...

Can I hear the weary voice of experience Charles?

Lately though, I just can't stop looking at the more mature motor car.
