Gixxer 6, Citroen Berlingo, 911 C4S, Dacia Duster and lots of bicycles.
Anyone ever do it.

Over in London on my own and I fancied something to eat. Walked into Prezzo in Mill Hill.

Sat down, ate, got a few odd looks but it was quite nice.

Only done it once, trouble is, on your todd you eat too quickly I find :D

Ask for a table for two, keep looking at the door and eventually order in a glum manner. They might take pity on you and give you the meal for free ;)

Or not.

Dined alone many times in many places across the country. As already said, if you want to eat, just do it.
I did have an odd experience in Milton's Indian restaurant in Chalfont St Giles one evening though, when I was truly dining alone because there was nobody else in the place. Maybe my reputation precedes me. :D

People get a bit edgy when I start arguing with myself.

I sat there and had my food reading Classic & Sportscar magazine. Probably looked well weird.

There is a nice 190e 2.6 Cosworth thingy in the specialist sales. £10,000.

I work away 44 weeks per year and eat alone 2 -3 times per week.

Take a book and read.

Single, 45........ say no more

I would of got Netflix up on me iphone whilst eating .. Good grub & action film Perfect!

I have to do it occasionally when I'm away for work. I have no issue.

Twice now though in the last few years I've been mistaken for a food critic, given all sorts of stuff I didn't order and a tour of the kitchen.
Well, if they offer who am I to put them right....

I have done it several times.

Some restaurants are very couples-oriented, and I have felt awkward on occasion, but I've felt comfortable in almost every place without candles on the table.

My Kindle is my dining companion…..

It's regular for me in McDonald's staring into my Iphone looking for some deals on Autotrader...

Do it all the time in London and will be back at it again next month. But, I can find it difficult in some places to get a table for one. Anyway, eating out on your jack can be a blessing, so don't knock it even if you get the 'looks', after all as mentioned by Developer some of us eat due to hunger, rather than an excuse for a couples to pose :D

Edit: next time take a broadsheet with you ;)

Sometimes work away so singleton noshing goes with the territory; never worried about it.

I usually take a book or fire up the laptop.

I had 100+ hotel nights last year. Normally there will be someone else from work in the hotel but if I am alone it tends to be room service.

Very occasionally I'll eat in the hotel restaurant but never think about venturing out solo.

After I have dropped my clients off at there restaurant I go and have my dinner. So every evening that they are in town. Not a problem in London, although you do feel like Bill No Mates sometimes !!

I'll come and eat with you Peter , if you're paying ;)
