It's just another pad from a small manufacturer but they're marketed hard at a particular market. If you're considering EBC then it's proof that marketing works
I've used both EBC green and red in the past. My CLK is currently on green stuff and I have to admit they are better than OEM pads better braking performance and certainly less dust.
SWMBO's Puma in the past was on red stuff not as good performance from cold as green stuff but awesome stopping power when warm and no dust.
Must admit though I have now gone off EBC and am using OMP Pro better performance than EBC green or red even from cold and awesome stopping power much better than OEM and absolutely no dust at all, this is what will be going on the CLK shortly.

EBC green and red stuff as well as OMP are readily available from most good accessory/motorsport shops or a certain online auction site is your friend.
XC60 MY2014 SeLux Nav plus lot and lots of toys...
Just a thought, if a pad causes dust is that an indication that the pad is wearing when used whereas if thereis minimal dust is that a sign that there is less pad wear BUT may that indicate MORE disc wear? that's a question not a statement.

Good question and don't really know the answer. FWIW my theory is that if I use OMP pads then I will also use OMP discs as well, same with EBC.
I think pad construction matched to disc construction gives the best performance and I'm sure this is what the OEM tried to do but guess it may be a trade off between pad wear and disc wear.
I have just fitted my second set of Greenstuff pads.
I like them. They stop the car nicely and do create a little less dust. I drive mostly country roads to work and back and the pads have lasted 36,000 miles. Disk wear doesn't seem excessive but my general policy of changing disks every two sets of pads (approximately 70 - 80k miles) seems to be about right.
Hi,
Peter have you noticed any additional wear on your discs since using EBC Red Stuff Pads? As i have Red stuff pads and new standard AMG discs to fit on my 43 and wondered wether the pads would wear the discs quicker, though their website says the pads are suitable for use with the standard disc, but they would say that as they want you to buy their product.
Pagid FR pads, Pagid RS blue and performance friction carbon metallic. All of which I've used before (but not on the w203). Then again, more worried about stopping vs. brake dust.
