Of course Mercs have had this for years, but this move has to be good news for drivers of lesser cars.

So long as they allow it to be switchable :devil:
 
It is being done to make a level playing field on safety.

Some of the entry level cars (VW Polo) have ESP as optional in order to compete with the much cheaper Asian built cars.

In the end, the cost to the community is excessively high by virtue of the fact that ESP saves lives and prevents accidents.

So whatever makes the cars unsafe makes the community suffer. A good idea which is likely to make ESP slightly cheaper also.
 
If only we all had ESP , we would know we were going to have an accident that day and be able to stay at home and avoid it !
