I'm getting an echo on my bluetooth hands free. Car is a 2003 CL55 with hands free kit and the MB bluetooth adapter, linked to my Nokia N95 8GB.

I'm not sure what my MB bluetooth adapter is but it isn't a Viseeo one and is black in colour with a blue LED.

Is it likely to be a microphone problem or phone issue ? Incidentally does anyone know where the microphone is sited ?!

Cheers

Jonny

Intermitently I get it on my Parrot CK3100 and my Dads Bury CC9060
Are you on T-mobile or do you call a T mobile fone often, there rubbish for it!

The mics are in the underside of the rear view mirror, if this is an OEM phone prep.

I'm on O2 - such good customer service I don't think I'll ever change !

Is the phone an LG or Samsung!

Echo is normally just created by the audible sound from the other end being too high or the microsoft too sensitive. I'm not up to date with your exact install, but can you adjust the volume?

The Model Year 2003 CL55 has D2B based autio system (map CD just covers UK & in the head unit)

The Mercedes HFP is not compatible with the D2B system becuase it hasnt got enough echo cancellation to cope with the additional delay for the sound to go over the bluetooth and thus the far end hears an echo.

The answer is a Viseeo MB2 - it has better echo cancellation and a microphone volume control.
