Hi,

I have a A140 Mercedes with around 56K mileage in reasonable condition recently purchased. I noticed a problem - when you start the car it cuts off - I thought it might need some tuning but when I took it to Mercedez, I and was shocked to find out that I would need to spend around £700 to install a new ECM or some control unit with a problem with Mass Air filter. I received a diagnostic report from them which stated in their opinion that I need a the whole unit...!!!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Here is the output of the report from Mercedez
