ECU Advise.....please

Hiya,Will replacement as in one from another salvage car ECU need reprogramming or will it fit & work straight way.Does the numbers have to be the same.,My car is C200 1998 VDO ECU. Thanks

where can i get 2nd hand ECU?

I assume you have the DAS3 IR key based car. The engine ECU is paired with the EIS, if you take one from a used car it would not work with the other on your car (I'm excluding options that some hackers can provide, I'm not familiar with those).
