93 E320 coupe sportline facelift
Hi guys, covid lockdown non usage has taken its toll on the old coupe. While diagnosing a no starting issue which indicated a faulty crankshaft sensor i carelessly put the wrong probes in the wrong connections on the diagnostic port. Resulting in a permanent red led on pin 8 when testing it, which goes brighter when button on tester is pressed. Crankshaft sensor has been replaced and i am wanting delivery of an ovp relay as the one in situ is original 1993. Car cranks but doesn't run. Will the damage to the ecu that i have caused result in the car not starting or is damage confined to diagnostic part of ecu. In any event the ecu needs repairing as future fault finding will be impossible. Any recommendations for ecu repair, thanks.
