Looks like I've soldered the sockets in wrong. Either some pins aren't contacting or could be bridged. Is there anyone in Kent that could help? I've tried all the local ECU Repair shops but they won't touch it. Thanks

If you are referring to eprom chips or other pcb components incorrectly installed on the ECU circuit board its very unlikely anyone will touch it because its already compromised and other components may be damaged ? Your only option may be a new/ replacement board

Try a decent mobile repair shop, they may be able to reball/reflow it

Thanks for the replies. I've taken off the sockets and it looks a right mess. I think a new ECU is needed. If I get another ECU, how do I get around the key and immobiliser issue?

I think that's done when the EPROM is re-written with the altered map?
